The US government has recently announced a special study abroad scholarship program for this coming summer (2010) specifically for undergraduate students in the sciences, technology, engineering & mathematical sciences. The students must also be Pell Grant recipients and US citizens. The awards are up to $5,000 and will fund studying abroad through a US-accredited program for at least 28 days. Priority will be given to students who choose to study outside of the usual western European countries, however any eligible student should be encouraged to meet with someone in the Office of Off Campus Studies to discuss their options. While there is a second round deadline in the spring, but most awards will be distributed during this first call for applications. |
