Gettysburg welcomes students from around the world to be valued and active members of our campus community. Currently, students from 35 countries contribute to the rich academic, co-curricular, and social atmosphere of the College. Our institution values diversity, and we strongly believe that our graduates are well-rounded, global citizens prepared to do great work.

Ranked consistently in the top tier of the nation's liberal arts colleges, Gettysburg is an academically rigorous, four-year, residential college of liberal arts and sciences. Gettysburg's campus community is comprised of 2,600 energetic and actively engaged undergraduate students.

The comprehensive Gettysburg Curriculum fosters intellectual growth, inspires creativity and integrative thought, develops empowering communication skills, and promotes global awareness. Intimate class sizes (18-20 students, on average) and a student-to-faculty ratio of 11:1 provide Gettysburg students with abundant opportunities to conduct collaborative research with enthusiastic and accomplished faculty.

Located 80 minutes from Washington, D.C., the world-famous town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is home to a plethora of shops, cultural attractions, restaurants, in addition to a vibrant student life on campus.

11 Days in Asia

From sushi-making to stereotype breaking, Gettysburg College hosted "Asian Cultural Week 2009: Eleven Days in Asia" from Jan. 21 to 31.

Gettysburg College's International Club worked closely with various departments across the campus and raised over $20,000 in hopes of making Asian Cultural Week a success. The International Club aims to promote awareness of various aspects of Asian culture through academic and recreational programs. The week's events, which are free and open to the public, are designed to provide a unique perspective of Asian heritage and to encourage global citizenship.
